Homopolymer Acetal or Delrin is the perfect plastic for turning on a CNC lathe lathe. It’s simple to turn, although it requires slow speeds. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are exceptionally tough and easily machinable, as they have very similar physical properties. They do appear the same, but for practical use there are some differences that can make one preferable than the other. It also depends heavily on your application.
